    omgomgomgomg…the demo is finally out for PS3! I’ve been waiting and waiting for this game…and I was hoping a demo to be out…and it is! Yay! I haven’t picked the similar game up for PSP yet, but I loved the Open Tee 1 that came out when the PSP first came out. New outfits and characters…totally for me @_@. I’m holding off on getting new PSP games because I haven’t finished Crisis Core yet…I’m there right before going to Nibelheim and we know what’s going to go down there.

There are these pins that let you attack in different styles, but you also control a girl on the top screen using the +pad. So while you are using the stylus on your right hand (if you’re a righty), you are pressing directional buttons with your left hand. And while that could be simple enough, it’s a little hard to keep both of them alive. They both share the same health bar so if one of them is in bad shape, it ends up affecting the main character. Typical to leave the girl more vulnerable as well.

    The story is interesting and captivated me for about 3-4 hours before I got frustrated with the play style. You can change your level to be higher, but you get less drops (chances for more pins and money). I think I’d rather run around slashing mobs to death.

    So, if you are highly coordinated and don’t mind characters affecting your ability to live or dragging you down (which the character in the story actually detests as well), then this game is for you! At least the music is good.

It’s really good….it’s been forever since I’ve played a Mario title (like…Mario 3…is it called Mario 3?). Yeah..you can tell I’m not a huge Mario fan, and I’ve never had a nintendo before the Wii so I haven’t had a lot of experience with him.

    There are lots of challenging puzzles in this game. A lot of it has to do with jumping. The guild for WoW that I used to be in always said that girls can’t jump. I’m not sure if that means compared to guys, but I went through a really difficult jumping galaxy in Mario Galaxy that I’m pretty proud of. These large moving platforms with huge shaped holes scroll through and you try to race across it. And then the platforms alternate right and left four times as you run across all 4….and then there is a circular platform…and then platforms scrolling towards you with a laser obstacle and jumping pods to get to the end. That was tough stuff….but I finally got through it. Yaaaay me!

    And for the record, I’ve only missed my jump for Thaddius in Naxx once. It was my first time, and it wasn’t because I missed the jump. I didn’t know there was this half circleish curved edge on the platform and fell through it.

    If you have a wii, or you just like to have a wiimote for fun (i don’t know, maybe you like having your own remote to bring to friends-with-wii’s house), you might like to know that Nintendo is adding a new accessory that comes with their console. They’re calling it a “jacket” so that your wiimote doesn’t slip when you play baseball or something. You can request for some free ones here. Thanks to Max for reminding me.

    edit: Actually, it looks like you have to have a Wii to request one.
