Sneak peek at my week
I don’t have much time right now because I have to get ready to head out and being a girl I have to get ready. Here is a quick look at things I did this week.
- Decided that lecture<discussion since I can barely understand the professor and he’s just teaching out of the book
- Reading the Twilight saga and I am officially only interested in mysteriously broody, charming, mind-reading vampires. Teeeeeeeam Edward!! Drooooolz
- Went to an Angels vs. Yankees game this Friday. Only highlight was listening to the females swoon over A-rod as he took off his helmet and walked towards the crowd to greet fans with a huge smile. I also got to see him hit a home run during the game with my own eyes! @_@ <–these eyes.

Embarrassingly enough, the picture I took that I thought was A-rod was of someone else. Hey, it’s hard to target someone at 5x zoom. At least he was at the edge of my picture -__-”.
A happy mom
My mother, the one who scoffs at me for dreaming about certain celebrities (“When I was your age, I liked some celebrities like Sean Connery, but I was never crazy about them with posters or anything”), is today, a giddy woman.
A discrete package was on our doorstep today and as I ran over and glanced at it to see who it was for and from, I read “Yankees Stadium”.
My mom had sent a picture of Wang to the Yankees to get it signed by him. It’s the kind with multiple frames in one picture. She had prepared for the worst but was willing to risk it and hope that she would get it signed back…and it did!
What is that signature supposed to say anyway? I can’t really make out anything related to his name. I understand the “40″ though. That’s a really asian “40″. I don’t know why but all my relatives from Taiwan all have the same number font style. It’s really weird.
My mom also wrote a nice letter to him and I was a little disappointed that he didn’t write a note back. If I were ever known enough to get fan mail, I would at least right a short note. Like that will ever happen though…heh.
Slow and Fantasy Baseball
Not much is happening right now. I didn’t have to work at the schools this week because they are off on spring break! Pretty nice. Perhaps it’s time to get started on readings…but I’m so lazy.
I’m playing Fantasy Baseball on Yahoo! for the first time this year. Here is my team. We’re called “Strawberry Juice”.
I made this icon for my team page. It’s cuuuuute!!
Have a gander…

I’ve lost the past 2 weeks <: (.
