Robo Hamster and Naked Rat

I was at Petsmart the other day, buying food from PongPong, and I came across these cute cute cute hamsters. The label said “robo hamster” which made them sound hard core, but later I’ve learned that it’s short for Roborovski hamster. These are the tiniest hamsters, and the fastest as well. Fully grown, they are only 2 inches! I was lucky enough to find one up close to the glass so I could watch him groom. Apparently these hamsters are always busy doing something so they are fun to watch. My guinea pig just sits there unless he wants to eat. hm….

And in the case next to it…these hairless rats. -__-”

I love animals

If I go to the mall and there is a pet store there, I makes plans to go in. In fact, there’s no reason why I wouldn’t go in. Here are some of the best.

I like Italian Greyhounds, and this one was really unique because of his black eye!

Shiba inus are really cute too. This one was super chill.

This chinchilla was sooo chill, and sleeping on his side. Aaaaah his little fingers are sooo cute.

Crying for animals

I was watching Perfect Storm the other day (the movie with George Clooney about the boat caught in a really bad storm) even though I didn’t really want to and I’m actually not attracted to George Clooney. The movie is about this fishing boat, and in one part of the movie, they are harpooning these swordfish because that’s their job. I couldn’t help but be emotional about this. I cry for animals more than for people, mostly because animals are more innocent than humans. After the movie, I didn’t feel like eating fish anymore. Swordfish are one of the most magnificent fish there are! And this boat was getting blood all over the floor, and the fish were flapping around for dear life. It reminded me of the real life footage I watched of dolphins bleeding to death in Japan. Swordfish doesn’t even taste good! It’s dry and fibery. I haven’t tried eating dolphin, nor do I want to.

Yeah yeah, I know there is the circle of life and all, but I don’t like watching it. I was watching Planet Earth with my dad too, and the segment about the polar bear looking for food since the ice broke and melted too quickly really got to me. This poor polar bear, all alone, was trying to get a baby elephant seal from a whole pack of elephant seals and he couldn’t manage to get one. Then the narrator says “This polar bear will die”. @_@.
