How much is that kitty in the window? These pets were up for adoption in the Macys windows. Sooo cute. All pets should get their own little scenic corner!

These boots were super cute.

As were these Betsey Johnson’s. The bottom is hot pink with Marilyn Monroe’s eye and gold hardware detailing of a bow.

After shopping and eating (no pictures), we got some pear cider! It was soooooo good.

There wasn’t a real way to countdown to the end of the year because nobody really know the official time…but the fireworks went off and so I assume…that was the right time. ^_^.

I was walking up to our gate from the backyard, and from the corner of my eye, I saw something black fall down from the ledge on the wall to my left and it disappeared behind the gate. So I thought…um….was that a slowly falling leaf? I shrugged it off and I stuck my hand through one of the holes in the gate to lift up the latch, and slowly opened the gate a crack, to find a HUGE black spider!!!

It was probably a black widow but I didn’t have time to ask her.

In accordance with acceptible reactions to spiders, I freaked out, yelled, ran my hands all over my body and gave myself the heebie jeebies.

And then I ran to my daddy.“eeeeEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeee”

My mom gave him a paper towel and in bewilderment, I said, “This isn’t the kind of spider you can just smoosh with a hand and paper!”

By the time I showed him the monster, the spider had crawled too high for my daddy, so he used a broom and smacked it. The monstrosity fell down and its last sight was the shadow of my dad’s sandal.

I went to Kitayama lunch one day. This is what happens when you’re bored.

Ebi tails for the eyebrows.

I scooped out the pulp of the lemon and replaced it with wasabi.

Then you spread the wasabi around and peel apart the ginger so it is completely flat (no wrinkles!), and lay it around. A work of art.

Then I went to see my uncle who has had his new cat, Tigger, for about a year now. I used to live at his house while he was on vacation to take care of Tigger. I haven’t seen him in almost a year now, and he doesn’t seem to really remember me. He run up to the loft and I couldn’t find him, only to finally spot him behind the computer desk.

He used to seem more brown to me but he’s gray now. Kind of panther like!

I finally had to get a bookmark that was handy and place it in front of the bee. He slowly and curiously climbed onto the bookmark and then I placed him in our own version of the “grassy knoll” (wink wink).

I think he was dying. I’ve never seen a bee so lethargic.

Ikea’s been having a sale for the past month and today I was looking for mattress covers. Mine is kind of old…and has some…err…blood stains that just didn’t wash out. Their covers are so cheap anyway, mine was $2.99 and it held up through washings for the past 4 years. So I went and they had a sale on the collection of bed covers that is one up from the cheapo collection I have. For 2 bucks more, I get 80 more thread count and a finer cotton. Score! They didn’t have the light pink I used to have…just a maroon color but that’s okay. Adds drama to my room right?

I also saw these cuuuute alligators! Alligator? Crocodile? Eh, I look it up and identify it, and then I always end up forgetting later on. Meh, I’m sure they don’t care what you call them as long as you won’t skin them. I like long stuffed animals for some reason. I feel like I can drag it around with me like Linus from peanuts. I also like it when animals drag stuff around with them, like dogs that get attached to their toy and carry it with them where-ever they go? Too cute.

Reminds me, my friend has a cute jack-russell terrier named Stitch and recently they got him a stuffed pizza to play with. He loves it so much he feels like he must go to sleep with it at night! Once I took the pizza away from him and hid it behind my back. When he rushed over to my back I kept hiding it on the opposite side of me. At one point, he looked at me with frantic eyes and whined at me! A weird sound for a good 5 seconds…like the kind a seal makes as if he was saying “hey you! I don’t want to joke around anymore! Where is it?!?” The skin above his eyes were all furrowed. Oh…how can torture be so cute?

I’ve been eyeing this canvas poster for a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery long time. It says it’s on sale…but that’s the same price I’ve always remembered it to be. It’s $79.99…a bit pricey for art on my small, bare walls. So instead, I took a picture and I am going to edit it for my purposes > <. It’s not like this artist drew it anyway…probably chopped it from the production poster. My results in the following post about it.

Hello Mister Sea Cucumber! You were not very yummy. Mister Peking Duck served me better. At some big Chinese restaurant in Diamond Plaza in Rowland Heights. Found it: New Capitol Restaurant. If you spend more than $30, depending on how many people you have in your party, you get free food. We had 5 people so we got a free 2 pounds of either lobster or Swimming Water Shrimp. We got the shrimp. We actually went to this place for lunch either for their dim sum. It was really good! They had a lot of variety and not too expensive.

My first and oldest guinea pig died yesterday. <: ( His name was Pong-Pong. It’s chinese for “fluffy”. I’ve had him for about 4 years. He was the most resilient of the guinea pigs I’ve had, who didn’t survive for long. He’s kind of an anti-social piggie who doesn’t like to be touched and is kind of neurotic…but that’s what make him unique! He had this sole swatch of white hair that grew out long and draped over his face, kind of like Elvis. He always made wheeking sounds when he wanted food. His favorites were apples and kale.

Lately, he became even more grumpy and noisy, and his once beautiful hair became course and was falling out. Yesterday, I found him on his side, flailing his legs around. I thought he was having a seizure, and it might have started out as one, but he just couldn’t get back up even when I propped him up. He would just fall back over on his side and freak out, scurrying his little legs and screeching in fear. I hand-fed him his water bottle and he eagerly drank it as if he hadn’t in a long time, but he couldn’t just lay there and drink, he insisted on frantically moving his legs and arching his back while he drank. I couldn’t make him stop trying to get back up. He was such a trooper. I knew there was nothing I could do so I picked him up in a blanket while he protested in pain and drove him to urgent animal care <: (. I could hear Pong-Pong screeching because the doctor picked him up to examine him. He doesn’t like to be touched! The doctor said that he was in pretty bad shape and so I had to let him go. I didn’t want to be there while the doctor gave him his shot. I hope you slept peacefully, Pong-Pong.
