Every weekend, thousands of looky-loos pour into the massive showroom to use the displays. Some hop into bed, slide under the covers and sneak a nap; others bring cameras and pose with the decor. Families while away the afternoon in the store for no other reason than to enjoy the air conditioning.

Visitors can’t seem to resist novelties most Americans take for granted, such as free soda refills and ample seating. They also like the laid-back staffers who don’t mind when a child jumps on a couch.

Yeah…and the pictures the guys took of the beds…really do look like they’ve been slept in. Eww..I wonder how often they have to change the sheets. That never happens in the IKEA here! More beds here. Edit: Pictures were taken down.

I don’t have many stories, and I’m been lazy putting up picture of Taiwan. The more interesting ones are up anyway. Don’t you wish that when you take pictures, they are instantly edited and uploaded to the site wirelessly?

Anyway, today I’ve been looking at cute pictures over at Something Awful. And I saved sooo many pictures! It’s hard not to because they are all so cute. I was afraid that my desktop would be clobbered with pictures, since that’s where my default save as place is but I’m glad the icon previews were small enough to only fill up half.

Usually my desktop looks like this:

    I like Urban Decay. They make cosmetics that come in quirky and fun packaging, have vegan products, and animal friendly yadda yadda…

    But am I the only one who is a little freaked at this new product, Pocket Rocket? Originally I was ecstatic. The lip gloss has eight different guys to choose from, it’s a cute idea (rubbing the tube also releases pheromones, somehow), and would occupy my easily impressed brain for quite some time, but what the heck? This guy?

    I like seeing guys with kids, and fatherly men, and I have nothing against single parents, but marketing a guy who already has a kid? It’s a little weird. How did this get the green light? Are there women out there who specifically like single parent dads?

    Some uneasy times right now and I’ve finally opened up an account with SchoolsFirst. Actually they call it being a “member”. I should have done it like, last year, but oh well. Oh, and my family members can join too. There is a branch pretty close to me so I’m happy with that.

    Wow…what is that sound? Turn it off turn it off! I’m sorry, I made the decision to let there be sound. I honestly don’t know what is playing at the moment you are reading this, unless it’s an RSS, which would mean NOTHING. But if you’re on my actual site, you can see I’ve posted the UNIQLOCK! Wow, so totally me.

    At different times of the day there are different pieces of music and dancing clips. So quirky! The color changes every hour I think. Hm…maybe I should add the Taiwan widget. Anyhow, I thought this was worth posting about.

    There are other quirky things they have…and an online store for…clothing? Is this all marking made by a clothing store? The style is very American Outfitters meets The GAP. I can’t say much about the men’s selection…pretty drab (aside from the ones in the stylebook), but the womens’ selections are pretty nice. I like the skinny jeans in multiple colors and this! Norika Fujiwara models the jeans…she’s pretty tall. Also, one of the kid models is the girl who sings the song from the Studio Ghibli movie, Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea,

    Here thelbit sings a song worthy of creeping me out. It cuts off at the end because the song is cut that short.

    Thelbit also watches the anime. Shinji and Asuka totally get together.

We have these birds that like to sit on top of the traffic lights or street lamps. They all line up and sit there and many times, we wonder why they do that…or what they are thinking.

    Using my amazing imagination, I start imagining it from the first bird perspective. The horizon in the distance, wind on my face, winds spread out. My vision is impeccable and I can see trees miles…

    Mom: Well…one thing I’m pretty sure is…birds aren’t afraid of heights.
