Mac
I’m typing this on a Mac……a powerbook.
Me: Hello Mac
Mac: Hello Thelnie
Me: How long have you been on a diet?
Mac: huh? What do you mean?
Me: I mean, you’re always so sleek. Who is your trainer? Do you have a personal stylist or what?
Mac: uh…..
Me: Fine then. I always knew you were stuck up.

Training
I took some online training courses for my new job at schools….and it’s interesting! I had to learn about diseases, how to handle accidents, and how to deal with sexual harassment. Whatever company made these online courses did a great job, and the pictures that accompanied the info were hilarious. I didn’t take screenshots because I didn’t think it was right, but during the sexual harassment bit, wow, the guys and girls just look creepy perverted. One of the guys had the arched and furrowed eyebrows. Another, during the “sexual favors” page, and had a girl sitting at her desk with a supervisor’s hands on her shoulders (no face shown). Yes, it’s a serious subject, but the pictures were a little too much.
I’ve got a job!
Capistrano Unified finally called me back saying they got my fingerprints and to go ahead and bring the rest of the info they need to get me signed up and started for work. The coordinator called me earlier and said he figured out a schedule for me. It’s Tuesday-Friday at six different schools. One high school, and 5 middle schools @_@. And it will be 19 hours a week and I think it’s around 10-11 bucks an hour. That’s nice pay, but doesn’t that figure out to about 5 hours a day…gee….isn’t that a lot of driving? We’ll see how it turns out, hopefully it won’t be too tiring.
Computer hate

I love my electronics, but sometimes I just hate them. My computer can be completely sweet one day, and then completely difficult another. For the past two days, firefox has been triggering Vista to have me authorize opening the application. It’s never done that before! Why, suddenly, am I bothered by this annoying pop up for something so trivial as opening a browser? I don’t remember there being any updates…or new installations…and half of my bookmarks seemed to have disappeared. Why are electronics so iffy? Things seemingly seem to move on their own in its little computer mind.
I don’t mind authorizing installations to the computer because I’m not installing new programs all the time, but just opening an application that I use all the time? Really?? Really??? That is plain annoying. This better not be some smart ass move from Microsoft to get me to use IE. And regrettably, it has <: ( I’m typing this on IE right now…..cryyyy……
