A happy mom

My mother, the one who scoffs at me for dreaming about certain celebrities (“When I was your age, I liked some celebrities like Sean Connery, but I was never crazy about them with posters or anything”), is today, a giddy woman.

A discrete package was on our doorstep today and as I ran over and glanced at it to see who it was for and from, I read “Yankees Stadium”.

My mom had sent a picture of Wang to the Yankees to get it signed by him. It’s the kind with multiple frames in one picture. She had prepared for the worst but was willing to risk it and hope that she would get it signed back…and it did!

What is that signature supposed to say anyway? I can’t really make out anything related to his name. I understand the “40″ though. That’s a really asian “40″. I don’t know why but all my relatives from Taiwan all have the same number font style. It’s really weird.

My mom also wrote a nice letter to him and I was a little disappointed that he didn’t write a note back. If I were ever known enough to get fan mail, I would at least right a short note. Like that will ever happen though…heh.

New Sony notebooks

1

I was browsed to the sonystyle online store at night one day and this caught my eye.

At that time I couldn’t find any direct rumors about it, but in the next day engadget finally posted it (or I read it the next day) and posted the links to their past posts. It looks so pretty…

So it’s Monday and I called my local sonystyle (I am so fortunate to have one near me!) and I asked if they were unveiling new notebooks at the store today.

Her: Yes, we’re revealing the new notebooks but not all of them…can I put you on hold?

…………………….

Her: Yes we are revealing the notebooks.

Me: You said that you didn’t have all of them, what does that mean?

Her: Oh, we only have one of the shipments in and the other two will be in tomorrow.

Me: Oh okay…what is the one shipment that got in?

Her: Um…..hold on…

………………………….

Her: We aren’t authorized to say what models we have…but, another shipment just came in so we will have all three today.

Me: Oh…okay..well..in general, which model line is cheaper? The SR or the Z?

Her: Um…..we’re not allowed to talk about the pricing of models…

Me: ^________________________^

I’m excited for the 13 inchers…but the widescreen is the more expensive one I think. Gosh…and just a few days ago I was going to settle for the inexpensive do basic stuff small and light notebooks like the MSI Wind. <: (

Fish and Cats

I went to Kitayama lunch one day. This is what happens when you’re bored.

Ebi tails for the eyebrows.

I scooped out the pulp of the lemon and replaced it with wasabi.

Then you spread the wasabi around and peel apart the ginger so it is completely flat (no wrinkles!), and lay it around. A work of art.

Then I went to see my uncle who has had his new cat, Tigger, for about a year now. I used to live at his house while he was on vacation to take care of Tigger. I haven’t seen him in almost a year now, and he doesn’t seem to really remember me. He run up to the loft and I couldn’t find him, only to finally spot him behind the computer desk.

He used to seem more brown to me but he’s gray now. Kind of panther like!

Girly night

There are times where I actually go out and act like a normal girl!

Here is a rare glimpse of me at the pool tables at D&B.

I’m not so photogenic. But I do like my eye makeup.
