A happy mom
My mother, the one who scoffs at me for dreaming about certain celebrities (”When I was your age, I liked some celebrities like Sean Connery, but I was never crazy about them with posters or anything”), is today, a giddy woman.
A discrete package was on our doorstep today and as I ran over and glanced at it to see who it was for and from, I read “Yankees Stadium”.
My mom had sent a picture of Wang to the Yankees to get it signed by him. It’s the kind with multiple frames in one picture. She had prepared for the worst but was willing to risk it and hope that she would get it signed back…and it did!
What is that signature supposed to say anyway? I can’t really make out anything related to his name. I understand the “40″ though. That’s a really asian “40″. I don’t know why but all my relatives from Taiwan all have the same number font style. It’s really weird.
My mom also wrote a nice letter to him and I was a little disappointed that he didn’t write a note back. If I were ever known enough to get fan mail, I would at least right a short note. Like that will ever happen though…heh.
