Failed Cookies
I like to bake. Unfortunately, I had no one to learn from because my mom doesn’t bake. My baking experience comes from watching the food network channel and acts of bravery in the kitchen. My best results are muffins and sugar cookies, but sometimes I want to make something special.
This recipe has failed me twice and I am certain it is not me anymore. There is something wrong with the measurements and the dough comes out too crumbly. I’m needed to fold the dough but it always ends up breaking. Since I knew that it would be a disaster of really ugly cookies, I improvised and created these little shortbread cookies. With a couple prototypes.

They are supposed to be like this. Folding the corners in became impossible.

I kind of folded them into a dumpling…and then I made little sandwich cookies…and then I stuck with the rounds with the fruit in the indent I pushed in the middle. They don’t taste bad. The consistancy was just…off. They would taste great with some tea. ^_^.
Pocky and Calbee
I’m not an avid consumer of Pocky, as hard as that might be to believe. I’m not a pocky fan or one of those people that create a shrine for Pocky. I look at it realistically and think…
“well, it’s a biscuit stick dipped in frosting”
I think the last time I had Pocky was mm….5 years ago? Anyway, I finally decided to buy a box and relive the Pocky moment. This was a special blueberry pocky. Tsubu Tsubu Blueberry. What’s tsubu tsubu? I’m going to guess frothy.
Of course it comes in a nice box with a specific way to open it. I love it when my box tells me how to open him. It leaves nothing to the imagination!

There were originally…four…packets…but uh…three of them mysteriously decided to disappear.

The plastic wrap was semi translucent with cute blueberries around it. When you open the wrapping, you can reeeeeally smell the blueberry. It was reeeeally good. They need to make pocky in huge buckets or something. Each stick is gobbled up in about .5 a second. I suppose this really teaches me to savor everything. I have a feeling I’m going to lose a lot of weight if I go to Japan.

I picked this up because it was on sale and it’s ume flavored! Plum….mmmm.

Little specs of the ume. This chip was…weird to taste. It was like…salty…sour…if it didn’t look like a chip I would think it was barf. But because it was a chip, it was acceptable? I know that sounds really weird.
Killer…..QueeEEEEeeen!
This song is pretty awesome. I thank my buddy Paco for introducing it to me. I know I like Queen, but I never really got around to listening to everything. I like the beginning of this song more than the end.
Originally my favorite line was “Well trained in alley cat”. But it turned out to actually be “well trained in etiquette” <: / Oops. I liked alley cat better. I wish I was well trained in alley cat. Sneaky and street smart-ish or something...that's how I interpreted it. Sigh.

Disney Fairies Fun
I have discovered something wonderful to play with! It doesn’t last very long, but I was browsing through Disney auditions and I found one interesting one that I had never seen before. Apparently, the Disney Fairies concept is doing well with young girls and they are planning on casting for face characters. There is a fairy for every major race aaaaaaand there is an asian one. Her name is Silvermist.

I’m just glad she’s not super asian. She actually kind of looks like Kelly Hu right? Anyway, I don’t think I’ll have time to audition for this…and I might not be in the country anyway. I will have to keep my eye out for these fairies when I go to Disneyland next.
Anyway, through this, I discovered the awesomeness that is their fairy creator site! I highly recommend taking 15 minutes out of your day to do something cute and silly and create a fairy. Who cares if the fairy is a female and you happen to be a guy. Connect with your feminine side!
I swear I looked like this when I was younger. But with a longer face.

You can decorate your room. Notice the pan flute on the wall and the curtain on the right hiding my stuff. I love hanging dividers, you have no idea! They have a name generator and I clicked random a couple times and then scrolled through names around it. I’m very pleased with Echo. It’s actually a very pretty name! I’m going to have to remember this. But isn’t the mythology of Echo kind of sad? Oh well. haha. I hope they still have this name generator when I have a kid…so using it for ideas!
To see my complete homepage, here is the link. It’s like myspace for virtual fairies!. Apparently they are going to make it an MMO!
