Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds demo is out!

omgomgomgomg…the demo is finally out for PS3! I’ve been waiting and waiting for this game…and I was hoping a demo to be out…and it is! Yay! I haven’t picked the similar game up for PSP yet, but I loved the Open Tee 1 that came out when the PSP first came out. New outfits and characters…totally for me @_@. I’m holding off on getting new PSP games because I haven’t finished Crisis Core yet…I’m there right before going to Nibelheim and we know what’s going to go down there.
Paper craft wallet Part I
I’ve been wanting to get a new wallet lately. My wallet is very…cute…and it’s a little more bulky than I like it to be. I always get lots of coins and I need a bigger coin purse in my wallet, unless I want to get a separate little purse just for that…which I don’t really want to.
So after shopping at many stores and department stores, I found nice ones but there were not perfect enough. Either too old style looking, or had something missing that I needed…had one good thing but a bad thing also…
I’m kind of picky because I want a nice wallet, not just some wallet I can use.
So…I decided I’m going to try to make my own. <: x
This is my mock-up. I have tons of ideas. You know what it’s almost like? It’s like adding on plug-ins to something that works great, but could use a little more.

The front. Not too big. I’ll add a clasp later on. I’m thinking envelope style!

You can see some notes here. The window will be a clear plastic. The sides of the credit card part are going to be large elastic cloth, not regular cloth. That way, the material will expand to the number of credit cards it contains. The base is also removable if I don’t need that many cards a certain night and I want to reduce the bulk.

This is something I’ve always wanted to make for myself. I’ve seen this in a few special wallets, and more recently in the Betsey Johnson wallets. So much space! The closure will be the button and string kind, like those kinds folders. You can see the drawing on the previous picture. Maybe fake button and string (with actual velcro or snap closure), depending how fastened it will stay. I’m going to have to experiment with it, but that detailing is going to be super cute. I haven’t seen it on any wallets (and maybe there is a reason for it @_@).

And the cash.
I’m so poor!
Yeah…I’ll probably keep looking at it…adding a strap here, attachable panel using zipper sounds interesting right? …or…usb thumb drive pocket…
Foot pads
I got these foot pads from a store in Little Tokyo awhile ago and I kind of forgot about them.

Then I found them and it sat there for awhile. I finally found a time to use them (was in high heels walking around avidly for about 4 hours) and so I put them on.
These were camomile scented (maybe there is camomile in it too) and it was wonderful! I really felt like I was pampering myself because the sticky cloth used to secure the packet onto the soles of my feet were better quality than I imagined. They hugged my foot and it was not uncomfortable.

At first I thought that these just smelled nice and maybe was effective since herby stuff were at my feet. I didn’t know that these were those infamous Japanese toxin sucking kind. The packaging didn’t say anything about toxins (well I couldn’t read it either). So after I took them off, it was a gooey mess that I didn’t even know it was gooey before I took them off. Kind of a yucky…grayish black color. In my haste to get rid of the mess, I did not take any pictures of it.
So I told my mom about it and she was like “oooh yeah..those totally work. At first I didn’t think it worked, but the more you use them, the less black it gets!”
So I looked online and people were saying it’s fake because they put water on it and it still turned black. Or left it out in the air and it turned black (from humidity I think).
I wouldn’t say that it’s “fake” though. The blackness just means that there were contact with water, or sweat. So let’s just say the pads make your feet sweat out onto the pads, making it turn black. That’s not horribly bad too either, right? Sweat is a way to get toxins out of the system. I don’t think my feet sweat that much under normal sleeping conditions.
My verdict: The pads make your feet sweat more than usual, possibly flushing out toxins. Turning the pads black is a product of being in contact with fluids. As for the gradual decrease in blackness my mom saw, maybe with repeated use, the need to sweat them out decreases resulting in less sweat.
My impression: I felt pampered and the smelling herbs made me feel like a princess. A PRINCESS. That’s so worth the $1.69 I paid for it. Taking them off, however, made me feel like…..a really gross….person that doesn’t wash their feet.
The joys of classical music
I don’t think songs have ever made me feel so much emotion as classical pieces of music. (I’ve been told twice that the difference between songs and pieces, is that songs have words and pieces don’t…so there).
I went to a good friend of mine’s cello recital she was holding for her cello students. My friend is pretty amazing at the cello, started when she was young and actually stuck with it brilliantly. I love watching her play because she plays with her heart into the music and her sound is very clear…(her cello is very good too > < I’m jealous).
Anyhow…she played a piece at the end of her students and this time she chose Elegie, by Faure. I’ve played this piece before and this was the first piece that I really really truly wanted to learn and play well because it is sooooo soulful. Once, I was really angry with my parents and I just picked up the cello and played. Since I was in such an emotional state, I think I actually did make myself cry.
So I did record the video of her playing. She’s not in traditional “concert” attire because her theme was summery and she told her students to wear something casual.
I kind of like it without accompaniment.
Here is Yo-Yo Ma playing it. After 6:00 is when it gets crazy. You can see the emotion in his face.
Celli rule, violins drool. You just can’t get that from a violin. <: P
