The World Ends With You
I’ve tried playing this game for about 3-4 hours now, and I was drawn to it because the art is similar to Kingdom Hearts, and it’s novel for the DS, but it was kind of hard to play for me. There are these pins that let you attack in different styles, but you also control a girl on the top screen using the +pad. So while you are using the stylus on your right hand (if you’re a righty), you are pressing directional buttons with your left hand. And while that could be simple enough, it’s a little hard to keep both of them alive. They both share the same health bar so if one of them is in bad shape, it ends up affecting the main character. Typical to leave the girl more vulnerable as well.
The story is interesting and captivated me for about 3-4 hours before I got frustrated with the play style. You can change your level to be higher, but you get less drops (chances for more pins and money). I think I’d rather run around slashing mobs to death.
So, if you are highly coordinated and don’t mind characters affecting your ability to live or dragging you down (which the character in the story actually detests as well), then this game is for you! At least the music is good.
Huntington Library
I went to the Huntington Library today! I’ve been there lots of times, but this time seem more fun than before. My favorite part was the atrium because they have a lot of new exhibits to look at there were more hands-on experimenting. You can smell and feel plants, and look through the microscope!

This is called Redemption. Looks kind of scary!

Haystacks. I really like this picture for some reason. I think because it looks so calm, but inspiring.

I like the colors! Looks like a lot of fun! I didn’t catch the name of this one…

This was actually a bigger picture, but I liked this one part of it.

Koi! I love they way they move their mouth.

Kamiya Dojo! I think of Kenshin when I see this. My house in Sims2 look a lot like this! I’m going to build something like this if I’m ever rich.

The willow is one of my favorite trees. It’s so gloomy and elegant.

I’m sorry for the 7-8 people that were erased from this picture.

This is what it looked like before. Flipping back and forth is pretty trippy. If only it were so simple to remove people in real life…

I saw long hallways like this one in China, but they were about 10x longer.

I think someone was feeding the ducks even though they weren’t supposed to…

The Atrium ceiling. I want an atrium in my house too.

No, the picture isn’t upside-down. This flower grows that way! Cuuuuute. I don’t remember the name though <: (

I like this kind of space. Large floor to ceiling windows and wood flooring.

Hello Mister Sea Cucumber! You were not very yummy. Mister Peking Duck served me better. At some big Chinese restaurant in Diamond Plaza in Rowland Heights. Found it: New Capitol Restaurant. If you spend more than $30, depending on how many people you have in your party, you get free food. We had 5 people so we got a free 2 pounds of either lobster or Swimming Water Shrimp. We got the shrimp. We actually went to this place for lunch either for their dim sum. It was really good! They had a lot of variety and not too expensive.
Tags
I’ve finally gotten into tags and updated most of my old posts to the best of my ability. Tags are really fun! I hope it really cleans things up and makes things easier to find.
I wish I could tag music like I tag my posts. Some songs belong is so many different genres and types.
New Camera!
I am happy to announce I finally have a new camera! You will be seeing less of my cellphone pictures here. The ones with lots of noise. Now, it will only be with less noise. Why are night-time shots so hard to take…-__-”.
Anyhow, here it is! I couldn’t take a picture of my camera with my camera….oh…I guess I could have used a mirror. Oh well. ^_^

It comes with the oh so yummy gimmiky smile shutter! I haven’t even tried it yet. I probably will never use it. I guess it’s another way to take a remote picture instead of the timer. This camera is not for emo kids, that’s for sure. haha. You can buy an underwater housing for this camera, and it has a preset for underwater pictures that make the scene brighter. I’ve always wanted to take pictures underwater….
Did you know Viggo Mortenson (from Lord of the Rings) is also a photographer? He has a book of pictures taken underwater. I know this because my World Lit teacher in 12th grade loved Viggo and for her birthday, another teacher got her the photo book.
Sometimes I flirt with the idea of getting an expensive DSLR like my dad and my brother and everyone else who actually take good pictures but…when it comes down to it, it’s not practical for me. I’m not going to lug around something so big and I don’t really know how to use one…and that requires more things for me to learn and I have enough projects I need to get done. If I really wanted to, I’m sure I could borrow one of my dad’s cameras (he has 2 of them now, one for normal distance, one for far away -__-”) to take special shots. My dad will preset it for me. teeheehee…. … ..
oh! And a tripod makes a big difference! I should get a tiny one at least.
