Out-of-place modern home
I was with my parents near school on Culver and I spotted this crazy house.
In a land of uniformity and strict laws, known as the Irvine Company, this is pretty wacky. What the heck is it? What prompted someone to do this? I don’t even remember seeing construction here.
That is a waterfall. This looks like something I would build on Sims! So weird. I like houses like this…but the colors are a little weird and it’s too out-of-place. I’d like to see the interior.
I want this dress!
I didn’t want to lump this entry with the other fashion post because this is in another class. I saw this dress at South Coast Plaza and I fell in love with it instantly. Too bad the price is so high though!

So I tried it on because it’s free to try it on! I’m usually a size 4, but this fit a little loosely on me. Models are lucky because they get the dress tailored to them before they walk. I don’t have a tailor in the dressing room…

The two lines on the bodice are actually 2 black elastic straps that you have to stretch to the back of the dress and clasp them together. It took me awhile to figure that one out. I was like “uh…why are these stretchy bands just hanging down the front…is this couture?”
And a couple days after I drooled over this dress, I saw it in a magazine! My tastes are in good company.

The price tag: $500.
Fashion Art
I think I’ve talked about how I love fashion, but I’m too sensible to buy it, so I end up taking pictures of it? Well, here is what I’ve acquired lately…

I’m a fan of tokidoki, but not of their prices. Loehmann’s has finally received a shipment of these and they are sooo much cheaper. I think they are about 70 percent off. But…I still didn’t buy them. They’re only 17 bucks compared to like…44 bucks original price. I’m still thinking about it though. The sweater is $29.

These are really cute in person.
I went to jail…
I went to one of the schools I tutor at today. The teacher that is in charge of the class likes to joke around, and told his students offhandedly that I was arrested and put in jail during the spring break. The kids were like, “Really? For what?” and he was like “Ask her”, and walked away.
So in this situation, I usually claim innocence and just shrug it off and tell them he was kidding. But…that’s kind of boring right? I wish I was wittier.
So the kids turned to me and were like
Kids: So…what did you do?!?!
Me: Oh! I downloaded music. <my slow nodding tight mouthed all knowing tough face>
Kids: That’s it? Just music…. <kids are stunned>
…
One kid: Was it limewire?!?!
Man…..are kids that easy to trick??
So I’m walking around the tables, looking over their work, seeing if anyone needs help…and once in awhile a kid would be like
Kid: Were you really in jail??
Me: no…..i’m just kidding…
Kid: Yeah, you didn’t go to jail…they just sued you right??!?
…although I did tell them the time my ISP contacted me and said that they were asked to turn us in for downloading….stuff….and it wasn’t even me!! It was my dear brother. And they gave us a warning and told us to stop. That’s right. And now I’m an angel. kek….kek….
And then after another while, a kid said
Kid: You weren’t really in jail….
Me: Yeeeeeah, I wasn’t
Kid: You can’t go to jail for just downloading music….everyone does it…
Well, I’m glad our future generation of kids have a strong sense of justice. The moral of the story is:
If everyone does it, you can’t go to jail.
