What a waste
As a social science student who dabbles in history, I stay in the social science and humanities area a lot. At UCI, the road that links between the two is called Ring Road. It’s a ring because our campus is designed as a ring with a park in the middle called Aldrich Park.
Anyway, this part of Ring Road is always busy with clubs, frats, sororities and non-profit…whatever…the point is they always hand out stuff to you! It’s very difficult to get through without someone wanting to stuff paper into your empty hands. Sure, you care about the earth and want to warn me about global warming and cutting down trees…thanks for all this paper you’ve just wasted on me because I’m going to throw it away. In the recycle bin, of course. But still.
Today all the clubs decided to do a fundraiser. And everybody did Korean BBQ. Literally there were about 4 Korean BBQ stations from different clubs. Two of them were one right next to the other, one came with water, the other competed with soda, and both stations were priced at 4 bucks. A couple feet away, a station was priced at 5 bucks…and advertised that they had “quality”. Right… By the time I walked through and got to the parking lot I smelled of bulgogi……mm…bulgogi sounds pretty good right about now.
And thus, I leave you with a picture of some bulgogi
