Are you…counting?

2

So I was studying at the computer center at UCI typing up a study sheet for a test I was going to take in 3 hours (yeah yeah) and I hear this mumbling next to me. So I glance over to the guy sitting at the computer next to me, and he’s using him mouse and mousing over his words on his essay, I’m assuming, mumbling to himself. I strain to listen, and it sounds like he’s counting his words!! uh…..are you serious?? And after every ten or so words, he clicked on the word, as if to mark his place. @_@

So I turned to him, and I said “Are you…counting all your words??” Hoping that I could lend a hand and tell him where the word count was. But he didn’t respond. He was reeeally concentrated on whatever he was doing.

After awhile I decided he was reading his essay and editing it. I hope.

  2. I remember having a teacher last semester that counted every single word for each essay. I am that word count is on the computer. I find it useful at times when I have to write a paper to a certain word count requirement. Though this is something interesting you have shared with us LOL.
