Gum
Students are not allowed to chew gum…
even though they still do. They sneak it into their mouths, and teachers just tell them to spit it out. No big deal.
Today, right after the bell rang, a student asked
“Miss Thelnie, would you like a piece of gum?”
Me: (is this a trick question??)
Good thing this is an easy answer for me
Me: Oh! No, thank you!

It’s an easy answer for me, because I don’t like gum! I owe it all to Mrs. Mieres of eight grade Social Science. She told the class that gum is bad for you because when you are chewing, it tricks your body to think that you are eating so your stomach gets its acids ready…with nothing to digest. So it’s supposed to be bad for you. I never really liked chewing gum anyway, because you are chewing your own spit, but that did it for me. No more gum unless my breath really stinks.
I hope I didn’t offend the girl. I was almost tempted to accept the gum, out of courtesy…but then I thought…well…I still am in the school setting, and I probably shouldn’t be chewing gum anyway, and maybe this will serve as a good example? She probably doesn’t even care and I’m thinking too much. And I’m using run-on sentences.
what the hey msword??
Why do you make it automatically add a line of space after I press the enter key?? If I want to double space I’ll hit the double space button. Default should be single!
Stop this “add space before/after paragraph” crap. Since when did people do that? And if I wanted an extra line of space after I already double space my entire paper, I’d press the enter key twice; it’s not that hard!!
Japanese Sweets
One of my favorite things to do at Mitsuwa is to try out the novel treats they have at the market. Here are some of the new ones I’ve had:

Mocchiri Fucchyo and Shyowa Fucchyo. Or is it Futsuchyo? I can’t tell if the tsu is silent because I have no idea what it means. <: P They are like the popular “hi-chews”, but with tiny gummies inside, and bits of fruit. The soda one has gummy and soda bits that burst in your mouth with carbonation. Very yum.

Tappuri Ichigo & Pafu. Something strawberry and puff. And then it says “chocolate” on the bottom. This is really good and as they say in Chinese…”hen shang!” very fragrant. But in Chinese, it’s a little less about the smell, but it means it’s strong in a good way. The strawberry flavor is potent to a point where it’s a little bit sour and it has crunch bits in it, as well as strawberry bits. These chocolates are individually wrapped, of course, for optimum high quality experience. <: P

Aporo, or Apollo. Howaito & Buruuberii. White & Blueberry! The milk is from Hokkaido, famous for its cows and milk. This is just like the strawberry, except different shape, and no crunch bits. The blueberry part has a coarse texture due to the blueberry bits. So yummy too. Also individually wrapped.
Beautiful
Vivian Hsu.
People seem to forget about her past, and I’m not going to remind you.
