Immortalizing stuff

Often times, I come across stuff I want to buy, just so I can have it, but I might not really need it. And so I don’t get it. But it makes me sad. So over time, I’ve found that I feel a lot better about it if I just take a picture of it. Then, it’s almost like having it. If I ever miss looking at it, then I have a picture. A lot of design is just art anyway right? And taking a picture is free!

So here is my latest immortalization.

I’ve used my same metal pencil case for the past 6-7 years; a friend of mine got it for me for christmas in high school (oh crap, that sounds like a long time ago….time flies). So I wanted to get a new one…but the one I have isn’t really broken or anything…and I actually have a collection of cute pencil cases….so I just took a picture of it. It’s a shiny gold paint. Sigh. I ended up buying an eraser of the same shiny gold style though. Japanese erasers are the best.

If I have enough of these, I should make my own “Immortalized” category, yeah?
