CSET Math Test
So I finally took the CSET Math test that I’ve been preparing for for the last 2 weeks. It was ooookay. You get five hours to take the test, whether it is 1 part of the test, or 3 parts of the test that you signed up for. So theoretically, you could take just one section of the test for the whole 5 hours! And I took 3 sections! So, actually, I spent most of my time on the first and second parts (the Algebra and the Geometry) and I only had about 15 minutes left for the Calculus. I had to take the Geometry part first though, that is the only restriction.
I might sound sadistic, but I actually enjoyed most of the geometry part. Most of the geometry questions were the puzzle type. What is the area of this, given these. Or figure out this using this diagram. Stuff like that makes me challenged, and it’s so satisfying when the answer I’ve come up with is one of the multiple choice answers. Of course, that’s not always the right answer, because sometimes they put in trick answers (like the SAT Math), but I’m pretty sure I got those right. The more difficult part of this test was the stats and probablity, because I haven’t really had any formal education on that.
Algebra was kind of hard. It wasn’t the regular questions you get form a math book or math test from school. They were more concept orientated. Lots of “how does this work” “prove that this is equal to that” and a lot of “real, rational,” mumbo jumbo. -__-”. I was good at linear and quadradic graphic thing.
And for Calculus, I guess on most of them, (answering just B), and for ones that were easy to see the answer by looking, I marked the answer.
So, we’ll see. I’ve found out that I don’t need to pass the Calculus section unless I plan to teach Calculus. Passing just the Algebra and Geometry sections are enough to teach middle school and high school math up to Calculus. Nice.
Sony Mylo (the new version)

Pictures are from engadget.com
I’ve seen the old Mylo (My Location, get it? get it?). And I thought it was reeeally silly. Like, really. For its price too. And it wasn’t even that hot.
But this new one… I might have salivated a little bit. Just a little. I like the white one….the silver one doesn’t look nice enough, especially with the orange details <: /. It does communications stuff, gets info from the internet…which would probably be more useful if there was free wi-fi for everyone, but it’s not where I live…somehow I just don’t think this kind of product should be sold in the U.S.. And the phones in Japan are already techy enough right? Who is Sony selling these to?
If my PSP slid out to reveal a qwerty keyboard, I’d be set. Oh, but we don’t know yet if they have Skype for the older PSP version <: (. Anyway, I certainly don’t need this.
But I can drool…
Naruto-Shippuuden

While I wait for this movie to be subbed, I was able to download the soundtrack to the movie…well..I only downloaded the first one, and it’s really good! I can tell it’s exciting stuff. @_@ It gets really good around 1:00.
hm….it kind of sounds like Yanni now that I think of it.

Johanna?!?!
I’ll steal you,
Johanna,
I’ll steal you.
Do they think that walls can hide you?
Even now I’m at your window…
I am in the dark beside you,
buried sweetly in your yellow hair
If you didn’t know this was a love ballad, you would be freaked out, right? These are some scary words!

Oh yeah, it’s from Sweeney Todd.
I might add that the lad that sings this is also creepy looking at some points. The eyebrows, the lighting, the crazy eyes…
