Crying for animals
I was watching Perfect Storm the other day (the movie with George Clooney about the boat caught in a really bad storm) even though I didn’t really want to and I’m actually not attracted to George Clooney. The movie is about this fishing boat, and in one part of the movie, they are harpooning these swordfish because that’s their job. I couldn’t help but be emotional about this. I cry for animals more than for people, mostly because animals are more innocent than humans. After the movie, I didn’t feel like eating fish anymore. Swordfish are one of the most magnificent fish there are! And this boat was getting blood all over the floor, and the fish were flapping around for dear life. It reminded me of the real life footage I watched of dolphins bleeding to death in Japan. Swordfish doesn’t even taste good! It’s dry and fibery. I haven’t tried eating dolphin, nor do I want to.
Yeah yeah, I know there is the circle of life and all, but I don’t like watching it. I was watching Planet Earth with my dad too, and the segment about the polar bear looking for food since the ice broke and melted too quickly really got to me. This poor polar bear, all alone, was trying to get a baby elephant seal from a whole pack of elephant seals and he couldn’t manage to get one. Then the narrator says “This polar bear will die”. @_@.
WoW Holidays
One of the best things in WoW are the holidays that Blizzard comes up with. These are seasonal events that correspond to real holidays and there’s always something special you can do.
At the beginning of October, there was a new holiday similar to Oktoberfest. There were little german camps set up around large cities and you could drink and do quests to get clothing, and other gadgets.
This is what it looks like to be drunk….very blurry and warped. When you run, you stumble all over the place.
I saved up for this authentic outfit. Cuuuuute. I have to take a picture of the front. I’m dancing in this picture.
This is the Halloween event. I’m wearing a troll mask, and there are giant pumpkins everywhere.
I thought this decoration was kind of cute.

There is also a headless horseman event now; new this year. He drops nice purple items and broom mounts!
Here I am, zooming around on my broom in Blade’s Edge Mountains.
I recently felt the need to go back to my hometown (how nerdy to say that). The Draenei boats have prettier sails than Night Elf…
What the heck is this?? Really? This is supposed to be the Temple of Elune….and that is supposed to be the high priestess, but she’s degraded herself to loaning the temple for cheap weddings? Looks like Blizz took Valentine’s day graphics and dumped them here so super nerds can get married here. It was kind of disgraceful. I was shocked when I ran up those stairs.
I get tells about Rappy a lot, and this doesn’t even eat the cake, but it’s recent so I could only find this one. Usually I’m nicer, but that day I decided to be more creative. Except…after he didn’t respond after I joked with him, I decided that he actually believed I had stolen Rappy so I told him where I actually got him….Z’g. Except I don’t even think he knows where Z’g is anyway…..so sad for pre BC instances <: (. If you look at the green guild chat, I was commenting on how Rappy looked more yellow than green recently (or that I just noticed) so I thought he might be sick….Yarzill’s Mutton is poisoned food for a Netherwing quest.
Transformed….<: /
I recently read lore about her. Skanky! Such a player. I want to be able to use a bow….
In case you want to know what playing WoW is like…here is a screenshot of it in action.
And that is it for now!
New tutor yaaaay
So yesterday I started my job as an AVID tutor. I have six schools I must travel to over four days a week and I go to three schools a day. My most recurring school is a school I go to in the afternoons all four days. Anyhow, here are some things I learned.
I don’t remember ever being so small in middle school.
Lots of girls in middle school are more fashionable than me, and also spend more money on their clothing. (Abercrombie and Roxy all over).
Some girls used eye liner to draw symbols on their cheeks that looked scarily gang-related @_@.
All the kids are generally really nice and accepting.
So in all the classes I went to today, the teachers weren’t informed that I was starting today. Because of that, the teachers didn’t have too much for me to do so I observed most of the time, walked around and asked them questions…
~*~*~*~*~
This is how I was usually introduced:
Nervous
Got my schedule for work
Too many schools and lots of driving and not enough explanation.
Nervous!
hm..I wish that turned out to be a haiku.
Tomorrow I teach
I hope everything goes well
I hope they are smart
edit: it’s actually “today” because it’s past 12am.
