Philosophy and World Religion

I went to school today, and this time it was a philosophy and world religion course. It’s actually really fascinating, because I’ve always been interested in religion, what it’s based on, if we really need it, what does it do for people…yeah, it’s interesting, but part of the 3 hour class was boring and I started to lose interest when it got scientific…and then gained interest when we got to a psychological part….and then waned again during the debate on quantum physics and determinism. Then the professor promised that other lectures were not going to be so science driven; thank goodness for that. More psychology I can take, though. Hopefully by the end of the 10 weeks, I’ll be more enlightened on religion…mostly I’m actually really skeptical, but open and respectful. I don’t mind learning a bit of everything, but in the end…I don’t think any of it changes me.
